What Am I Doing?

Welcome.
Give me a little time here to figure this blog thing out. How much do I say? How little do I say. I often do I say? I always have a lot to say.

For now, over on the side there, are some things I've said. Well, actually, some things I've written. Most are reasonably entertaining. My brother said that, and he's not one to overstate.

My Journey or The Life You Save is about the cross-country trip I took in 1993. I ditched my position, power and pay, and traveled the country with my greyhound, Slim, and cockatiel, Hoser, looking for a better way to live. I found it in Kanab, Utah and founded Greyhound Gang.

Hound Stories (and the individual name labels) are stories I wrote for Greyt Angel donors to help raise funds to rescue more hounds. For a monthly donation, I'd send them a hound story with some pictures. These were hounds that usually stuck around with me a bit longer before I found them the perfect home. I'll be editing these, and putting up new ones at some point. I miss them all.

Thanks for visiting. More will follow.

I paint pet portraits and would love to paint some greyhounds. Anyone interested? Let me know. All I need are photos. Amelie, www.amelieart.com

Please complain to Capital One about their use of a greyhound in racing colors in their tv advertising. Thanks Kathy

I wished i lived in your part of the universe where one can have more than one friend, although i have one dog( not a greyhound) and wish for another whippet or greyhound that is not the case per my other half. I feel cheated that my best friend had to be put down at 6 and a half years old and i find comfort in walking with a friend that has a rescue that resembles my chelsea, it is thru mrs sully that i'm able to face the world on any given day and in my next lifetime i want to be either a dog or you and have the ability to write, good luck and can i plce a donation thru paypal
