Hank
Hank -- Don Barenz and Patti DeLaney thru Royal Hounds, WA
Handsome Hank needs a special home. One that will love him and care for him while knowing that life is precious, and every minute of love is special. Hank is a lanky and lean, almost 2, very friendly and a beautiful pale fawn color boy. He has a congenital heart valve problem, though he is unaffected at this time. He can live to a "normal" greyhound age with no real problems or he might go into heart failure at any time. It's impossible to predict at this point. He's been seen by specialists and there isn't really much that can be done to fix the problem. He needs a home that doesn't have cats, and will understand that a loving him would mean the world to him.

Dancer
Rainbow BridgeDancer -- Chris and Randy Norris of Las Vegas, through Greyhound Rescue of NV
Big, handsome brindle boy of eight young years. Sweet, spoiled and craves attention. Returned from his home of 5 years because something had upset him, and he had started to chew on things. He hasn't chewed on one thing since we've had him. He really just wants to be loved. (don't we all?) Likes to be on the furniture and in the bed with you. Not crazy about kids and will avoid them. Cat and little dog safe. Excellent health.

Pixie
Pixie -- The Flynn's through Royal Hounds, WA
A less than two year old fawn girl, Pixie wins the hearts of all she meets, so only the most special of homes will she call her own. She has a very bum leg/foot/paw, which though recently operated on, she doesn't like to use very much to walk on. However, she will use it to let you know that she deserves your attention. She'll hit you with that paw, and lo to those that don't start petting her immediately.

Passion
Passion - The Behnkes of Las Vegas, through Greyhound Rescue of NV
We all need a little (or a lot) of Passion in our lives. And here's your chance at some! A lovely, 7 year young, red fawn girl who's looking for love, Passion is friendly, smart, full of energy and so very pretty. Big, soft brown eyes look right into yours asking for someone to spend time with her. She'd love a home with no cats, that speaks and acts quietly with her and with another dog to play with.

Trixie
Trixie - Lisa Walk of AZ
Trixie is a silly, funny, beautiful, less than 2 year old brindle girl. Full of herself, and full of love, she wants nothing more than to have someone hang on her every word and action. She'll bring a lot of joy to the right home. She had a bum leg that has been straightened, but she will need supplements to help ward off arthritis in the future. She'll be at the Gathering, entertaining all.

Jennie

Jenny -
The Stewarts of Canada thru Royal Hounds, WA
Jenny is sweet and sassy. This under two year old tuxedo girl wants a family to call her own, preferably one with another (older) dog to hang with. If the other dog shows no sense, Jenny might insist on showing them some, as she can display a bit of a bossy streak. She needs her exercise and attention, since she's still young, but will return all your attention with plenty of her own. She takes exception to crates and cats.

Risa

Risa - Cliff Forest of Canada thru Royal Hounds, WA
Risa defines enjoyment of life. This under two year old blue fawn girl wants a family to provide laughs for as they watch her antics. She's does a gorgeous 360 whirl. She has a high energy level, so needs her exercise and attention. But she'll provide you with hours of laughter and love. Not cat safe, but could live with well behaved young children.

Lavon

Lavonne - Marilyn Maxwell of WA thru Royal Hounds, WA
Lavonne spent her days in the Gang house during the Gathering, and that tail never stopped wagging. Sweet, petite and quiet (except when her Sarah Bernhardt tendencies kicked in), she's a 10 year young black beauty. She's prefer a quiet household, without too many dogs, and can most likely get along with a cat.

July 2002

Rainbow BridgeDar Dar -
Tom and Bonnie Rodgers - thru Greyhound Rescue Adoption - Las Vegas

Sweet, loving Darlin' has been returned after 7 years in a home, through no fault of her own. She's feeling so very very sad right now. She loves people, especially nice children and would prefer a home without a cat, or another alpha female. Light brindle, about 68 lbs, and 10 years young.

Cuz - Ellen Vogel thru GPA -SN
Cuz
Another sad return, through no fault of his own, Cuz is a 6 yr old, beautiful blonde boy. He's sweet, and attentive and listens very well. He gets along well with cats, dogs & children. And likes to sleep in the bed with you!

November 2002

Cuz Rosa - Melanie Olmstead of Salt Lake City, Utah

Rosa, rescued from death from New Mexico pound. A Place for Us put out to list that they couldn't take her. Best Friends Animal Sanctuary brought her to Kanab. 53 lbs. Black hair with white tuffs. She's very curious, smart, happy and friendly. Sad, sad eyes. Not one accident in house. Learned dog door within two days. Adores traveling in the car. Was told six years old, but when not lounging around, she's active. She is very keen - so no home with cats, but she's fine with Annie the IG. She would probably make a great lure courser. Sleeps well in bed. No overt aggressive signs, though does want to be THE girl. Definitely a greyhound/deerhound mix = Staghound.
