Ricky
-- Krista and Darryl Knight, Las Vegas, Nevada
Very sweet, 4-year-old, white with brindle patched boy, who
will even smile once in a while. Very easy-going, attentive and curious. Likes
to play with toys and is up for any rough and tumble Twister has in mind. Sleeps
through the night. Cat safe, rides well in the car.

Neon
-- Sharon Townsend and George Fedleski, Pahrump,
Nevada
Very sweet, 53 lb., white with brindle patched girl. Very attentive
and easy going. She will be shy in initial meetings, but once she feels comfortable
she settles right in. She has a racing injury to her front right ankle, that
will become inflamed if she overextends herself.
February 1999

Twister -- Janice
Frattare, Las Vegas, Nevada
Happy, 2-year-old, brindle boy with lots of energy. Totally
safe with small animals and cats. Likes to investigate and chew on things, so
have lots of toys and bones on hand. He taught himself the doggie door immediately.
Really likes his buddy, Ricky. Is 72 lbs. and has a very wide forehead, denoting
his vast intelligence.

Dice -- Carol and
Arthur van der Harten, Las Vegas, Nevada
This adorable, sweet, 1.5-year-old boy just wants to be loved.
He sticks like glue to you, is very eager to please, and listens very well for
a youngster. But he does need an active home. He is interested in cats, but
in a playful way. He's fine with children, but will still jump on you when he
gets excited, so will need more training. He likes to get in the car, but then
his anxiety takes over and he'll drool as much as a St. Bernard.
April 1999

Fletch -- Stephanie
and Dave Russell, Las Vegas, Nevada
A gorgeous, all white, one-year-old boy, with brindle patches
over each ear. He is very sweet, and loving and very much a youngster. He has
been diagnosed with polyarthritis, and will need medical care.
May 1999

Cooper -- Mik and
Matt Wilkens, Scottsdale, Arizona
A 2-year-old gorgeous red fawn boy. He is loving and independent,
as he searches for stability and love. He is going through an identity search,
and will test to see how far he can get away with things. He needs a home with
activity and discipline to help him grow into a greyhound that has boundaries.

Ride -- Jan and
Lee Robinson, Sandy, Utah
This tall, thin, long, dark-brindle girl can't stop wagging
her tail. At 65 lbs. and only two years old, she has a lot of filling out to
do. She is very friendly, very smart, and very mischievous. She will steal your
shoes if you leave them out. She will chew on something if she is bored. She
travels and listens very well. She adores playing, and will play forever, and
really would do best in a home with another playful big dog. She is not cat
safe.

Alisa
-- Jack and Linda Becker, St. George, Utah
Sweeter than sweet, this 8-year-old fawn girl just fits in everywhere.
Cat safe, lamb safe, everything safe -- she keeps to herself initially, not
wanting to disrupt or draw attention to herself. She's almost blind in one eye,
and has partial sight in the other, but that doesn't stop her from seeing all
that goes on around her. And she knew a good thing when she "saw" it with Jack
and Linda, their other greyhound, Greta, and their terrier, Max. She found her
home.

SportNLove -- Janice
Frattare, Las Vegas, Nevada
A
10-year-old brood bitch, who is full of sport and looking for love. She is sweeter
than pie, and takes no guff from anyone. Matter of fact, she gives out some
if she feels a dog needs to understand that she is in charge. She's happy and
loving, and will make a wonderful companion -- if you like to share your bed!

Tiger
-- Jeannie Bruce, Las Vegas, Nevada
A gorgeous, blue brindle, 2.5-year-old, one-eyed boy who is
very loving and sweet. He can be initially shy, especially with strangers, but
he really just wants to be loved. He will follow you everywhere, and is very
aware of everything that is going on. He will bark at strangers. He is cat safe
and loves to go in the car and play with other dogs.

Centano -- The Kickers,
Las Vegas, Nevada
November 1999

Foxy Girl -- The
Brewers and Fletch, Las Vegas, Nevada
A sweet, inquisitive, trim, 4-year-old black girl that was rescued
from the pound and death. The track man that had leased her brought her and
7 other hounds to the pound to be euthanized. He wouldn't wait until an opening
appeared at the adoption kennel. Luckily, the adoption group heard about it,
and got the greyhounds out before they were killed. Foxy Girl is quickly learning
what home life is all about. She slept on the bed last night, follows me from
room to room, is very interested in all the goings-on in the kitchen, and loves
to flick that little tongue at you. She is cat safe, little dog safe, and very
easy-going about all the new goings on. She didn't answer to Mo, and decided
that she likes the name Foxy Girl.
December 1999

Petite -- Sherry
Schreyer-Cimino, Las Vegas, Nevada
This
lost girl desperately needs someone to love. She's only 4.5, a beautiful brindle-coated
girl at 70 lbs. She's curious and interested in life, and loves to run circles
around other dogs. She also thinks balls are a lot of fun. She has yet to choose
her person, and is watching and waiting for that special person she can call
her own. This person needs to help her manage her small seizures (which are
under control while she is on medication). She is cat safe.
